GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Terms and Conditions

The conditions set forth herein shall govern all bookings and purchases of Products sold by Insidecom s.r.l. via the website www.venetoinside.com.
To purchase the Products sold on www.venetoinside.com you must agree to the following Terms and Conditions.

Definitions

Customer: means the ultimate purchaser.

Product/s: indicates the services of travel, such as a tours, guided tours, excursions, transfers, hotels, ticket services and other tourist services purchased on the Web Portal www.venetoinside.com.

Web Portal indicates www.venetoinside.com.

Company: indicates Insidecom s.r.l., with its headquarters in Venice, Santa Croce 439, Venice REA Venice 354694, CF/VAT No. 03978340275.

Supplier/s: indicates the Supplier/s of/tourist services forming the Product.

Voucher: means the document issued providing proof of purchase and payment of the Product/s.

Meeting Point: indicates the meeting place from where the tour or service purchased will start from.

Protection of personal data
The Company undertakes to treat Customer data in accordance with the 2003 Law 196 (Data Protection Act), and any other relevant legislative provision. The data will be used exclusively for communications concerning the activities of the portal www.venetoinside.com, in respect of the full protection of the rights and privacy of those concerned, excluding the sale to third parties. The data relating to the payment by credit card will be deposited and dealt with by competent banking institutions who will handle it according to criteria of security and confidentiality.

Law and Jurisdiction
The following conditions are governed by Italian law. The Forum of Venice, Italy, shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from these conditions. Nevertheless, Insidecom s.r.l. reserves, if it deems it necessary, to institute legal proceedings before courts in countries or cities other than Italy or Venice to protect its interests or to enforce its rights.

Prices and Payment Methods

  • The prices shown on the Web Portal are inclusive of taxes, service charges and any fees for using credit cards.
  • The prices shown on the Web Portal are in Euros (€).
  • The prices shown on the Web Portal are per person or per service, if otherwise, the specifications will be duly highlighted.
  • In order for the booking to be valid the entire amount is to be paid.
  • It may happen that the price of a Product on request, is different from that stated at the time of booking/purchase due to, for example, poor availability of the Product. In this case, the Customer has the right not to confirm the purchase request without penalty.
  • In some cases, depending on the type of Product and the method of sale by the Supplier, minors can obtain reductions or exemptions of payment. This option is shown on the Web Portal when booking. In the event that a particular Product does not have such facilities, minors will have to pay the full price.
  • The Product/s can only be paid by credit card; accepted credit cards are listed during the checkout process.
  • The purchase of a/the Product/s and its confirmation are made directly online. The data of the credit card will not come into the possession of the Company as the payment process is through the Key Client system via a procedure protected by a secure line (SSL).
  • As soon as a reservation is confirmed, the system allows you to download the Voucher on the confirmation page that will appear at the end of the booking process. The same Voucher will then be sent to the address stated by the Customer (within approximately 10 minutes). If the Customer does not receive the confirmation email he/she should immediately contact the Web Portal at info@insidecom.it requesting a confirmation to be sent via email. After completing a reservation it is the Customer's responsibility to ensure that the confirmation email has been received. Venetoinside.com assumes no responsibility in the event of failure to read an email and against those who are late declaring that they had not received the confirmation. Venetoinside.com operates an automatic email system.
  • You will be given a single Voucher for each Product purchased. All of the Products listed on the Voucher will be invoiced, regardless of any partial use of them.

Cancellation Policies

Bookings to be confirmed
Cancellations of bookings awaiting confirmation are not subject to any penalty.

Cancellation of reservations before payment
Reservations cancelled before payment are not subject to any penalty.

Cancellation of reservations after payment

  • TOURS & ACTIVITIES, TRANSFERS, BASILICA AND PROVINCIAL MUSEUM OF TORCELLO AND SERVICES RELATED THERETO
    • Cancellations within 72 hours of the date of the booked service: if you cancel your booking within 72 hours from the date of the service booking you will get full refund of the amount paid by crediting the credit card used for payment.
    • Cancellations within 48 hours of the date of the booked service: if you cancel your booking within 48 hours from the date of the service booking you will get a refund of 50% of the amount paid by crediting the credit card used for payment.
    • Cancellations with less than 48 hours of the date of the booked service: if you cancel your reservation with less than 48 hours of the date of the service booking you will not be entitled to any refund.
  • HOTELS
    • Each hotel and accommodation bookable on the Web Portal sets a deadline by which it is possible to cancel the booking made.
      This deadline, which is usually fixed five days before the arrival date of the client at the hotel, may vary depending on the length of stay and on the cancellation policy of the accommodation itself. The deadline for the cancellation of the booking is clearly specified on the Web Portal both before completing the reservation and on the Voucher issued at the end of the booking procedure.

Any refund of the reservation can only be made on the same credit card with which you made the payment. Refunds will be made in the currency in which the booking has been paid (€).

The cancellation policies shown above are valid for all bookings related to tours & activities, transfers, Basilica and provincial museum of Torcello and services related thereto made on the Web Portal unless otherwise specified, such as for special rates non-refundable, high season period, special events or exhibitions. To cancel your reservation please contact: info@insidecom.it.

  • PUBLIC TRANSPORT ACTV TICKETS, CITY SIGHTSEEING TICKETS, SKIP THE LINE ACCESS TO ST MARK'S BASILICA, MUSEUMS TICKETING SERVICE
    • These Products are excluded from the cancellation policies listed above. For these Products, there is no refund. According to Article 55, first paragraph, letter. b, of the Consumer Code the right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts, such as those relating to Travel Services, the supply of services relating to accommodation, transport, catering or leisure services, when at the conclusion of the contract the trader undertakes to provide these services on a specific date or within a specific period.

Responsibility
The Company owns all rights to the Web Portal, that was designed and created by it; it is not liable in the event of disruption, inconvenience, or other failures of any kind on the part of the Supplier of the Product and/or Suppliers of the individual tourist services that make up the Product itself. For this reason, the information contained in the brochures may vary and the Company does not guarantee, beyond a reasonable verification, correctness and/or accuracy. The Company will do its best to promptly update the information contained in the Web Portal.
In no event shall the Company be liable for breach of contract of Suppliers of the Product/s, or for damages, costs, losses of any kind suffered by the Customer and/or third parties arising from acts and/or omissions of Product Suppliers.
The Company, under no circumstances, is liable for any delays and/or for failure to perform its obligations due to force majeure, meaning that for every act, fact and/or circumstance beyond its reasonable control.
In exceptional cases and/or for reasons of force majeure that may prevent the Product from running regularly and therefore the Customer from using the  Product already purchased, the Company reserves itself the right to cancel the Product.
By way of example as exceptional cases and/or reasons of force majeure that may prevent the Product from running regularly and therefore the Customer from using the  Product already purchased, the following are considered: acts of nature (such as bad weather, floods, high water), strikes, exceptional closures, serious unexpected events or health problems experienced by the person in charge with the service on behalf of the Supplier after which it is really impossible to find a substitute, the start of conflicts, riot, acts of terrorism, revolution, acts of any governmental authority (such as the withdrawal of licenses or authorizations), fires, epidemics, explosions, interruption of a utility service (such as gas, electricity, water, telephone), renovations, lockouts or boycotts, embargo, blockade.
In the event that the Company is forced to cancel a Product already purchased, the Company will promptly grant the Customer a complete refund of the price paid for the cancelled service (except for the skip the line access to St. Mark’s Basilica).

Cancellations, Complaints and Refunds
Requests for a cancellation sent after the time limit stated in the Cancellation Policies above will be assessed at our discretion.
There will be no refund in case of no-show (failure to present yourself at the time and meeting point indicated on the Voucher).
Any complaints about the Product booked, where possible, should be addressed directly by the Customer to the Supplier of the Product. If the Supplier is unable to solve the problem satisfactorily, the Customer is obliged to inform the Company by email, as soon as possible and in any event within 20 working days from the date the date of use of the Product specified on the Voucher. The Company will not consider claims submitted after the deadline. The Company will send an acknowledgment of receipt of the message. A final response on the complaint submitted, and on the possibile refund related to it, will be sent after having heard all the parts involved (Customer and Supplier) and reconstructed the facts as they happened.

 

TOURS & ACTIVITIES AND TRANSFERS

Product Information
The Customer can book and buy, or request the reservation of Products for individual travels and/or groups.

Products on direct booking

  • The reservation of the Products on direct booking will be considered confirmed at the end of the procedure for payment by credit card.
  • The reservation is subject to availability of the Products.
  • In order to use the Product purchased the confirmation of your booking with the reference number (Voucher) must be presented to the Supplier. The Voucher is the only valid document and you can present it to our staff either on a paper copy or on a mobile device (smartphones, tablets or other devices) according to instructions specified on it.

Products on request

  • To allow for proper organization, the purchase of Products on demand (e.g. Private Tours or not in direct sale; private transfers; …) must be made at least 72 hours before the date of use of the Product.
  • The Company will notify the acceptance of the reservation by sending a confirmation email that invites the Customer to make payment via credit card through a process protected by a secure line (SSL).
  • The reservation of the Products upon request will be considered confirmed at the end of the procedure for payment by credit card.
  • In case of failure to pay by the deadline indicated (at least 72 hours before the date of use of the Product), the reservation will automatically be cancelled.
  • The reservation is subject to availability of the Products.
  • In order to use the Product purchased the confirmation of your booking with the reference number (Voucher) must be presented to the Supplier. The Voucher is the only valid document and you can present it to our staff either on a paper copy or on a mobile device (smartphones, tablets or other devices) according to instructions specified on it.

Changes to Products
If, following the purchase, the Customer wants to change the Product/s you can contact Customer Support by using the form 'Contact Us' on the Web Portal. The Company will make every reasonable effort to meet the request of change by the Customer, but cannot guarantee that these changes will be made.

Special Offers and Restrictions
Special offers are subject to availability. Any restrictions are indicated in the detail of the offer on the Web Portal.

Voucher

  • You must arrive at the Meeting Point with the Voucher providing proof of purchase of the Product. The Voucher is the only valid document and you can present it to our staff either on a paper copy or on a mobile device (smartphones, tablets or other devices) according to instructions specified on it. This Voucher must be handed over to the Supplier at the Meeting Point. It may happen that, in the absence of the Voucher, the Supplier of the Product will not accept the booking and will require a re-payment.
  • The reservation number assigned at the time of booking is indicated on the Voucher, including the name of the person responsible for the payment (Customer) and the specifications of purchased services, such as the date, time, meeting point and the number of people.

Rules in case of purchase of PRIVATE WATER TAXI E VENICE AIRPORT SHUTTLE

  • TAXI SERVICE ON A PRIVATE BOAT

Arrival at Venice Marco Polo: a maximum of one hour of waiting from the moment of landing aircraft is given. Assistance/porter service is not included. Customers must go to the desk of the Motorboats Consortium in the arrival hall at Marco Polo Airport. Here your Voucher will be checked and the staff will tell you how to go to the pier (8 minute walk) from where a private water taxi will take you to your hotel in the historic centre of Venice. The taxi will dock at the pier closest to the hotel. You may have a short walk from the pier to the hotel. One suitcase per person included. In case of extra luggage, Customers will have to pay during the transfer. Tipping is at the discretion of the Customer and therefore not included.
From the hotel: the taxi boat will wait for Customers at the pier closest to the hotel. A fax/email will be sent to the hotel for the exact place and time of meeting. Assistant/porter service is not included. One suitcase per person included. In case of extra luggage, Customers will have to pay during the transfer. Tipping is at the discretion of the Customer and therefore not included.

  • VENICE AIRPORT SHUTTLE

Shared transfers from Marco Polo Airport to Venice: go to the information desk in the arrivals hall, located on the right after exiting the baggage claim area. Our staff will tell you how to get to the point of embarkation which is located 500 metres from the arrival hall. The assistant will not accompany clients to the hotel but will leave them at the nearest dock giving them the necessary information to arrive there. Normally, this is within a few hundred metres. After meeting with our staff at the airport, the shuttle service will wait for no longer than 30 minutes. The service is guaranteed for up to 1 hour after the estimated time of actual landing of the flight.
Transfers from Venice to Marco Polo Airport: A fax/email will be sent to the hotel for the exact place and time of meeting. You must contact the organization on the number provided on the Voucher, 24-48 hours prior to departure from your hotel to arrange place and time of pick up. (The call is MANDATORY - If the departure is on Sunday or Monday, please contact us on the previous Friday).

General Notes
Aboard the transport 1 suitcase per person is included in the price. In case of extra luggage, the Customer must directly pay any additional charges required by the carrier. The transfers can last from 20 to 45 minutes. A porter service at the airport is not included but it may be made available upon request by the Customer with direct payment to be made on site.

The Venice Airport Shuttle service is guaranteed for a minimum of 2 passengers and is ONLY available at certain times, specified on the Web Portal. The travel time depends on the number of stops required and booked. The transfer may be shared with other passengers up to a maximum of 10 people per boat.

 

ACTV TICKETS FOR PUBLIC TRANSPORT IN VENICE

The Voucher contains a PNR code, which is a unique booking code consisting of a series of number (e.g. AB12CD3 - the order of numbers and letters is an example and can be different in the original version).

The PNR is necessary to obtain the actual travel tickets, and is to be collected at the appropriate ticket machines indicated on the Voucher, with which you can make use of the service purchased.

Once the ticket has been collected, the Customer will be subject to the 'General Conditions of Transport' provided by the Supplier, ACTV S.p.A.

Once the payment has been made, the the booking cannot be modified, cancelled nor refunded.

The validity of ACTV tourist time tickets is indicated online, on the page of the Web Portal related to the Product.

 

CITY SIGHTSEEING TICKETS

The Voucher must be printed and shown on the boat the first time you get on board in order to convert it into a valid travel ticket. The time validity of the ticket starts from the first time Customers get on board.

The Customer can pick up the ticket onboard only on the date specified in the reservation: once the payment has been made, the Customer can collect the ticket only on the date indicated on the Voucher and the booking cannot be modified, cancelled nor refunded.

Itineraries (stops, journeys and times) are subject to changes without notice in case of unplanned traffic restrictions, road works, etc. The Supplier is not responsible for disruptions or line diversions beyond its control. In case of disruptions beyond its control, the Supplier guarantees the possibility to reschedule. Estimated intervals at each stop are approximate, as they might be affected by traffic conditions.

The ticket does not guarantee any availability of free seats on the boat: if there are no places available, the Customer will have to wait for the next boat.

Refund requests must be submitted within 10 days from the date of execution of the service and will be accepted at the discretion of the Supplier and in any case for cases of exceptional circumstances.

Ticket prices shown on the Web Portal are the official prices guaranteed by the Supplier.

 

MUSEUMS TICKETS

The Voucher must be printed and presented at the ticket office of one of the museums included in the type of ticket purchased (or the single museum, in case you bought a single ticket) so that it can be converted into the entrance ticket. The ticket will have to be regularly collected at the Ticket office: once you have collected the actual ticket, you can get access to the museum (or the museums included in the type of ticket purchased).

The ticket prices listed on the Web Portal are inclusive of a booking fee.

Once the payment has been made, the the booking cannot be modified, cancelled nor refunded.

The validity of the tickets is indicated online, on the page of the Web Portal related to the Product.

 

HOTEL

Payment made by credit card will be immediately charged with the full amount.

The price includes breakfast, unless this is specifically stated, and taxes, except for any taxes local accommodation. This does not include telephone services, laundry, mini- bar and extras to be paid directly to the hotel.

 

ST MARK'S BASILICA

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR INDIVIDUAL CUSTOMERS PAYING WITH CREDIT CARD

Reservation Policies

  • The Web Portal offers the possibility to book the privileged access to St Mark's Basilica (see published prices).
  • The Voucher entitles you to use the booking fee only for the day of issue.
  • For each time slot, there is a maximum of 110 people and 55 people per booking.
  • To use the service you must go to the entrance with the access document (Voucher). The Voucher is the only valid document and you can present it to our staff either on a paper copy or on a mobile device (smartphones, tablets or other devices).
  • To make a purchase you must provide:
    • Date and time of the visit
    • Total number of visitors
    • Name and surname of the contact person who will use the service
    • Data of the credit card (directly to the bank)
  • The Voucher has a booking number assigned at the time of booking, the name of the person responsible for the payment (Customer) and the specifications of purchased services, such as the date, time, meeting point, number of people.

Right of cancellation and modification

  • After the payment has been made it is not possible to cancel the transaction: ticket and booking fee are non-refundable.
  • Once confirmed, the booking cannot be changed or cancelled.

How to access St Mark's Basilica

  • The original Voucher is the only document that will be accepted. Without the use of the Voucher, either on a paper copy or on a mobile device (smartphones, tablets or other devices), the equipment will not be able to read the Voucher and therefore access will not be allowed.
  • On the day of the visit, visitors have to arrive at St. Peter's door of St Mark's Basilica.
  • The staff responsible for the inspection of the Basilica will verify the validity of the reservation by reading the bar code on the Voucher using a special device. You may be asked for proof of identity to verify the correspondence of the data on the Voucher.
  • If the data do not match or the Voucher has already been used, the operator may not allow the entry of the person/s.
  • If the Voucher is lost it is not possible to retrieve the reservation and issue a new one.

Note

  • The Voucher is the only valid document and you can present it to our staff either on a paper copy or on a mobile device (smartphones, tablets or other devices) so that the equipment is able to read the bar code on it.
  • The time of entry indicated on the Voucher must be respected.
  • The Procurator of St Mark's, along with the personnel involved, reserves the right to make the necessary checks and, in the case of misuse, to intervene in appropriate ways.
  • The Procurator of St Mark's - which is responsible for the Basilica - reserves the right to revoke at any time, all reservations in cases of force majeure (e.g. high water) and/or safety, and/or religious functions, and/or state visits, not stated on the calendar. If the reservations is not used on the day specified on the Voucher, it will be considered canceled and not be refunded.
  • Customers are required to follow the instructions specified both on the Voucher and on the Web Portal, otherwise they could lose the possibility of using the Product.

  • The original Voucher is the only document recognized. Without the use of the paper Voucher the equipment will not be able to read the Voucher and access will be refused.
  • The day of the visit, the visitors will have to arrive at St. Peter's door of St Mark's Basilica.
  • The staff responsible for inspection of the Basilica verify the validity of the reservation by reading the bar code on the Voucher, by means of special equipment. You may be required to show proof of identification to verify that it corresponds with the data on the Voucher.
  • If the data do not match or the Voucher has already been used, the operator may not allow the entry of the/s person/s.
  • If the Voucher is lost it is not possible to retrieve to the reservation and issue a new one.

  • Customers are required to follow the instructions specified both on the Voucher and on the Web Portal, otherwise they could lose the possibility of using the Product.

TORCELLO BASILICA

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR INDIVIDUAL CUSTOMERS PAYING WITH CREDIT CARD

Reservation Policies

  • The Web Portal provides the ability to pre-purchase tickets for entrance to the Basilica of Torcello and/or the Province Museum, with possible integration of an audio guide, at full and reduced prices (see the published prices).
  • €1 (one/00) per person is added as a presale charge to the price of the ticket.
  • The Voucher entitles you to use the booking only for the day of issue.
  • To use the service you must go to the entrance with the access document (the printed Voucher). The Voucher has to be in paper form and it is the only valid document that can be used to gain entry to the Basilica.
  • To make a purchase you must provide :
    • Date and time of the visit
    • Total number of visitors
    • Name and surname of the contact person who will use the service
    • Data of the credit card (directly made to the bank)
  • The reservation number assigned at the time of booking is indicated on the Voucher together with the name of the person responsible for the payment (the Customer) and the specifications of purchased services, such as date, time, meeting point and number of people.

Right of cancellation and modification:

  • Once the booking is confirmed, any amendments and/or cancellations will be subject to the Cancellation Policies set out in the General Conditions of Contract above.

How to access the Basilica of Torcello:

  • The original Voucher is the only recognized document. Without the use of the paper Voucher access will not be allowed.
  • The staff responsible for the inspection of the Basilica verify the validity of the Voucher. Proof of identification to verify the correspondence of the data on the Voucher may be requested.
  • If the data do not correspond with the Voucher or it has already been used, the operator may not allow the entry of the person/s.
  • If the Voucher is lost it is not possible to return to the reservation and issue a new one.
  • It is necessary that the time of entry indicated on the Voucher is observed.

Note

  • The Basilica of Torcello reserves the right to cancel reservations at any time for reasons of force majeure (e.g. high water) and/or safety, and/or religious functions and/or state visits, not stated on the calendar. In the event that extraordinary phenomena (e.g. high water) do not allow access to the Basilica, the reservations will be cancelled and cannot be changed. Visitors may however, take advantage of access to the Basilica, without reservation, on the first day of its regular opening.
  • Customers are required to follow the instructions specified both on the Voucher and on the Web Portal, otherwise they could lose the possibility of using the Product.

  • The original Voucher is the only recognized document. Without the use of the same Voucher printed on paper, access will not be allowed.
  • The staff responsible for inspection of the Basilica will verify the validity of the reservation by reading the bar code on the Voucher, by means of special equipment. You may be required to show proof of identification to verify that it corresponds with the data on the Voucher.
  • If the data do not correspond with the Voucher or it has already been used, the operator may not allow entry to the person/s.
  • If the Voucher is lost it is not possible to retrieve the reservation and issue a new one.
  • It is necessary to show up at the entrance with the Voucher printed correctly so that the device is able to read the bar code.
  • It is necessary that the time of entry indicated on the Voucher is observed.

Note

  • The Basilica of Torcello reserves the right to cancel reservations at any time for reasons of force majeure (e.g. high water) and/or safety, and/or religious functions and/or state visits, not stated on the calendar. In the event that extraordinary phenomena (e.g. high water) do not allow access to the Basilica, the reservations will be cancelled and cannot be changed, however, visitors may enjoy access to the Basilica without a reservation on the first day of its regular opening.
  • Customers are required to follow the instructions specified both on the Voucher and on the Web Portal, otherwise they could lose the possibility of using the Product.
