The generations succede and cross each others so quickly, since the end of XIX century, Francesco Marcato, Giobatta's son, bought the first fields in Verona countryside, a few more than one hectar and half. For more than 140 years this big family devotes time and passion to the care of their land, and the result of this work is a variety of wines which seduces and represents the experience handed down from the fathers to the youngest generation.

Among the fourties of the last century, Giuseppe, one of the 7 sons of Francesco and Rosa, began to trade and sale his wine with the near provinces of Verona and Vicenza, and soon Marcato wines are well appreciated in all the nearness. From the six sons of Margherita, the 3 males Giovanni, Lino and Francesco learn from their father the fascinating and ancient art of making wine. The company start to grow and soon the variety of products improves and characterizes.

The land of Marcato properties, are extended from The Alpon Valley, where the family live, to the Euganei hills in Vicenza in the east side, (you can find The Giareta Estate), and the classic zone of Soave Scaligeri hills, near the magnificent castle of Soave, on the west side. Today the great heritage of the Marcato family is continued by Andrea and Enrico, sons of Lino, who are able to carry on with innovation and new vigour a solid and well developped business. Very important was the opening to the new market, from China to USA, from the Danemark to Greece. The Marcato wine charm and enchant in different part in all over the world!

The knowledge of the ground is much and many is the passion, these are the foundations of Marcato wines, a familiar management company with more than a century of history and the enthusiasm of throwing on to the future, with the strenght of youngest generation.

So from the tufic and basaltic hills of the Alpon Valley, in the Durella's vineyards, where the homonymous wine is cultivated to the Garganega and Soave Trebbiano grapes of the near Monteforte and Soave countryside. In the Berici hills instead , between Sarego and Brendola villages, grows the Red Tocai, Merlot and Franc and Sauvignon Cabernet.

The company produced and bottled every year 6 hondred tons of grapes, obtained from the 60 hectars of vineyard of thier own property and others 25 of well selected local producers who work side by side with the Marcato family.
