In Greek mythology the god Bacchus was among the most beneficial to mankind, teaching him the secrets of the vine and the art of winemaking. The Tessari family have selected him as the symbol of their winery.

Situated in the famous Soave wine zone, the Tessari winery possesses 12 hectares of vineyards in the areas: Magnavacche, Costalta and Castellaro, in the comune of Monteforte d'Alpone. The siblings Antonio, Germano and Cornelia, following in the footsteps and experience of theri father Aldo, oversee all the phases of production of the winemaking process, from harvesting to bottling and selling, always with an eye firmly fixed on traditional methods, which guarantees the quality of the wines and which puts the Tessari winery among the leaders of Soave wineries.

The new structure of the Tessari cellar lies among the hills of Monteforte d'Alpone, in the classic Soave zone. An innovative construction, designed to improve the elaboration and logistics of the entire system without losing sight of the particular details, which gives rise to a warm and inviting place in line with the typical characteistics of the Soave wineries. Here you can take part in guided visits in English, French or German, with winetasting of the products accompanied by typical local specialities. A cosy room is avaiable for smaller groups (up to 16) and for larger parties we have a room for up to 64 people.

The vines are on average 35 years old, and are found on the hills of Monteforte d'Alponein the heart of the classic Soave wine zone. Characterised by a vulcanic and clayey terrain the soil predominantly basalt-based, and rich in which minerals, which gives the final product one of its distinctive traits. The vines, exclusively of the native Garganega grape, lie around 250 metres above sea level, facing east/south-east, allowing them a fresh microclimate in a privileged location with respect to other vineyards.
