The province of Treviso is also known as the 'Kingdom of flavours' thanks to its specialities, as the prestigious Prosecco wine, mushrooms, salamis, chestnuts and other local products. During the year the March organizes a lot of food and wine festival where you can taste and appreciate these delicacies.

In addition, this area has another important record since here, in 1966, was born the first wine route in Italy: the Prosecco and Colli Conegliano Valdobbiadene Wine Road. This route derives from the old Strada del Vino Bianco and it represents a unique opportunity to experience the countryside area and its marvelous landscape full of vineyards, villas and castles. The verdant rolling hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene are the uncontested realm of the Prosecco wine, known above all in its spumante version (both Extra Dry and Brut version).

There are many other food and wine treasures in Conegliano and Valdobbiadene: Prosecco di Conegliano and Prosecco di Valdobbiadene DOC (Registered Designation of Origin) are produced on the hillside zone from Vittorio Veneto to Valdobbiadene which counts 15 districts and about 3500 hectares of vineyards.

The food and wine tradition in Conegliano and Valdobbiadene has ancient origin and utilizes the local products as ingredients in many recipes. The Prosecco di Conegliano and Prosecco di Valdobbiadene are the perfect wines for fish dishes and at festive occasions. Thanks to its food and wine culture and the breathtaking view, a holiday along the Prosecco Wine route definitely restores the senses.

In addition to the Prosecco, the area also vaunts other fine white and red wines and passiti, which is a wine made from dried grapes, of superb quality.
