Villa Bianchi B&B

via Caolonghe, 4/A - 31034 Cavaso del Tomba (Treviso)

Description

The most illustrious abodes of Cavaso del Tomba used to belong, in the past, to the “Owners of the woollen mills”.
The family that most distinguished itself in this field and that played a major role in the town's history between the end of the eighteenth century and the beginning of the nineteenth was the Bianchi family. This family owned several impressive houses located between Cavaso and Obledo; of these only three have survived, and one of them is Villa Bianchi at Caolonghe di Canizza, a building that dates back to the eighteenth century, with a coat of arms on the fronton, in Venetian style with an adjoining barchessa (a portico farm building) for services and staff.

The elegant building, standing in its own grounds of 630 m2, with an enclosed courtyard, has been restructured, maintaining its characteristics and high quality building materials, such as wooden beam ceilings and floors, and marble staircases.
The courtyard can be reached through two entrances: the main entrance, to the front, through a large wrought-iron gate, and the secondary entrance, at the side of the villa.

Villa Bianchi has five splendid and comfortable rooms.
On the first floor there are four spacious and elegant rooms with period furniture. Each room has its own independent bathroom. Villa Bianchi allows you to spend a night enveloped in an eighteenth-century historical and cultural context.
The rooms provide a warm and welcoming environment, ideal for both long and short stays in the splendid setting of our villa. The original wooden beams, the wall paintings, everything has been faithfully restored to let you savour the sensations aroused by this historical setting.
On the second floor there is an ample double bedroom that has been skilfully restored to its historical splendour; with its period décor it provides an extraordinary setting. Adjacent to the room there are two attic rooms and an independent bathroom. All of this is finished off by the timber roof beams and flooring and by the warm welcome Villa Bianchi offers to all its guests.
