Noventa di Piave, whose history goes back to the ancient times of the Roman, appears on the left side of the river Piave that in that time traced the road of connection between the ancient cities of Altino and Oderzo.
In the course of its History it has seen the passage and the domination of much polulates, from the Roman to which they followed the Barbarian invasions of the Orde, from the Venetians to the Austrians until the World war 1915/1918 that here along the rivers of the Piave it has lived between the cruels and important moments until the final victory from which then the current Noventa of Piave has been born: between the many that participated to this great war we can remember also writer Ernest Hemingway who a memorial tablet is dedicated to.
