The hotel is situated in the centre of Arabba, in the heart of the Dolomites, close the famous Sella mountains. In our hotel you will find a very particular atmosphere that will make you feel immediately welcome.
The Malita hotel, in the winter, is the ideal place to spend a peaceful and relaxing vacation without having to use the Ski bus or the car.
At a short distance you will find the Arabba-Portavescovo skiing facilities, starting point for infinite skiing itineraries, such as the famous Sellaronda.
In the summer, it is the perfect starting point for excursions or walks along the trails and routes of the Dolomites.

In 1961 Gottardo De Cassan decided to build a small boarding house with 10 bedrooms that was inaugurated in march 1963.
By 1970 the boarding house had become very popular for Italian and foreign clients. At that point the Pensione Malita was restored and modernized with the addition of 8 new rooms.
At De Cassan’s death, the son Bellino and his wife Elia took over the business.
In 1978 they decide to make another addition to the structure. They added bathrooms in every room, built and furnished the bar, thanks to which the boarding house could offer a more complete service, both for the clients than for occasional tourists.
In 1981 another enlargement was done although shortly after the whole building was demolished (year 1991) in order to finally enlarge and restore the structure for the needs of this period. In 1995 a garage with 8 parking spots was added to the main structure. Starting this winter the new wellness centre is open, very appreciated by all our clients.
The ex Pensione Malita, became in 1991, Malita Hotel still run by Bellino and Elia, with the help of their son Luca and their daughters Serena and Lara.
In 2002 the De Cassan family decided to add to the Malita Hotel a Bed & Breakfast, taken care of in every detail, and named it Garnì Serena Hotel.

Our rooms (singles, doubles, triples, quadruple and communicating)are very spacious and furnished in a very simple and comfortable way.
Half of them have a balcony and can be reached up to the second floor with the lift. Instead the rooms in the loft (without balcony) can be reached through a staircase.
All rooms have telephone, Sat-TV, desk, safe and hair dryer.

Immediately at your arrival we do our best to make your vacation pleasant and relaxing. There is always one of us or our staff at the reception for any request or information.
The welcoming bar is the ideal place to spend pleasant moments, taste delicious drinks or deserts prepared by our staff, or taste in good company a glass of good wine.
The TV room is the place for anyone who wants to see a movie, a documentary, a program or sport events or a vhs. It is close to the bar and is the ideal place to spend pleasant nights in good company.

We have always taken very good care of our cuisine; always using first quality ingredients and giving particular attention to regional dishes, without forgetting the Italian cuisine.
Our staff will suggest you the best wine to combine with your meal, between the many that our cellar offers.
A rich buffet breakfast is the best way to start the day. It is prepared with great care, in the restaurant. Together with many healthy and balanced foods you will find homemade cakes, hams and cheeses.
Plus if there is anything that you didn’t find in our buffet, our staff is more then willing to prepare it for you.
Noon Restaurant
For who wants to have lunch, our restaurant is open also at noon, from 12.00 till 14.00, both for something simple than for a more elaborate dish.
For dinner, together with two first courses and three second courses, we offer a rich vegetable buffet, both raw and cooked vegetables and delicious deserts, all prepared by our cooks.

Relax and wellness…forget work and daily stress…
After a long day of healthy activity on the Dolomites, you will have the opportunity to regenerate yourself in our new wellness centre.
For our client’s use: Finnish sauna (90 degrees), Turkish bath (45 degrees), Vitarium (60 degrees); ice waterfall and regenerating shower with tropical scents, Kneipp bath and hydro massage for 2 persons. For who loves relaxing there are waterbeds or comfortable deck-chairs, instead for tan lovers there is the shower and face solarium.
