1. How to book - Individual Travel
- Choose the time and date of your visit, if these are available you will be then asked to enter your personal details. These will be added to your voucher which you will have to show when entering the Basilica.
- Enter a valid email address to receive your entry voucher
- Your voucher will be sent to the email address you have entered inside the form.
- Print your voucher with the barcode and remember to bring it with you when you visit the Basilica. Only printed vouchers will be accepted. Without this, the entry gate at the priority entrance in the Basilica will not open.
- Your booking will be validated via the barcode on your voucher at the time of entry.
1.1 How to book - Tour operators / School groups - Church groups
- Insert your data in the registration form
- Your account will be activated within 72 hours.
- Enter your detail (username e password) you specified at the time of registration
- Make your reservation and after the payment you will receive the entry voucher with the barcode in your email account
- Please print your voucher with the barcode and bring it with you the day of the visit. The original voucher is the only accepted document. Without a paper copy of the voucher entry will not be allowed by the barcode reader positioned at the reserved entrance.
2. How much is it to book and visit
- Priority booking, which allows you to avoid queuing, is € 1,00 (one) per person (VAT exempt)
- Only school and religious groups, which contact venetoinside.com directly, are charged 0,70€ per person. (VAT exempt)
- Visiting the Saint Mark’s Basilica is free of charge
- All credit card details are protected by SSL encryption
- The cost of priority booking is non refundable
3. Modification or cancellation to your booking
- Your booking cannot be modified nor cancelled.
4. Please remember that
- The entrance of the Basilica is from 'Porta di San Pietro' (Photo 1A)*
- Suitcases, backpacks and extra-size bags are not allowed into the Basilica. We advise bags are deposited free of charge before entry at the Ateneo San Basso (Photo 1B)** close to the Basilica.
- Your clothes must be appropriate: shorts and sleeveless or short tops are not allowed,
- Photographs and videos are not allowed within the Basilica. Silence must be maintained whilst in the Basilica.
- The length of your visit of the Basilica is 10 minutes. This is to allow everybody to visit the Church and preserve its integrity.
- The Foundation reserves the right to cancel all bookings at any time due to unforeseen circumstances (ie: flooding in Venice), religious events or official visits. For the convenience of visitors holding an entry booking in this situation vouchers will be valid for the entire day to enable the possibility to plan a new visit at the next available time.
