Situated in the splendid Euganean Hills countrysdie, at the foot of Monte della Madonna, the Colle Mattara vineyard comes from a tradition passed down from father to son, jealously preserving the passion for vine cultivation yet without forgetting the respect due to nature.
In this way the secrets of the art of winemaking, a true family vocation, are kept: another particular aspect of the Venetian vineyard.
The position of the vineyard is perfect: the vines extend along the hill slopes, thus allowing them the heat and light of the sun the whole day; this produces an excellent final quality of the grapes.
The new installations and the modern method of growing give an even greater enhanced quality of production in the vineyard. Not less important is the climate and suitability of the terrain for vine cultivation. Colle Mattara provides a splendid example of nature, human activity and passion: all this is contained in the wine produced by the vineyard at Rovolon, giving a flavour as authentic as the Veneto itself.
The grapes are grown and cared for using the latest modern technology, however winemaking here still remains faithful to the traditions and authenticity of the Euganean Hills countryside.
This union of tradition and modern technology, nature and labour, together with a continual research for improvement in the quality of our product, results in our 11 different types of wine, almost all meeting the DOC standard in this region of the Veneto. A visit to the vineyard also provides the opportunity to see Rovolon, a typical town of the Euganean Hills and full of characteristic charm of the area.

A fresh delicate wine, ideal to drink during the day as an aperitif or with fish dishes.
Colli Euganei Fior d'Arancio Passito:
100% moscato giallo
Obtained from drying Moscato Fior d'Arancio grapes in wooden trays for six months, the wine is then made and left to rest in oak barrels for 12 months, where it keeps its excellent structure
Saeopa:
Moscato bianco 100%
Made from Moscato Bianco grapes, it is a dry, aromatic wine, smooth and pleasant to drink as an aperitif or with hors d'oeuvres
Colli Euganei Rosso
65% Merlot e 35% Cabernet
Obtained from a selection of Cabernet-Merlot (65%-35%) grapes, it ages in oak barrels for 12 months; it has a full flavour and decisive structure that is perfect to accompany barbecued and roast meat.
How to reach
Exit tollgate Grisignano, go on to direction Montegalda, then Cevarese S.Croce. At the traffic light turn right to Bastia direction and keep the main road until Carbonara. Come through the center of Carbonara and go on 1,5 km through the main road. The wine grower is visible on the left side of the main road.
