In the foothills to the east of the  Euganean Hills, in the comune of Due Carrare, lies the  La Mincana wine merchants , run by the Dal Martello family for the last three generations.

The vineyards surround the farm, constituted by a 15th century villa and an outlying building which today houses the cellars. The villa from the XVII century is the property of a noble Venitian family, the Dolfin. It was restructured in the first half of the 18th century in the taste for the Palladian style, evident particularly in the northern loggetta and the oratory lying to the west of the villa.

Towards the end of the seventeen hundreds Andrea Dolfin (then Venitian ambassador to France) tasked the architect Giannantonio Selva to construct an English garden, one of the first in Italy. Nowadays little remains of the original structure apart from the fishpond and some ancient plants. The villa is now home to the Due Carrare winery, La Mincana.

The  Due Carrare winery pays homage to local wines of the Euganean Hills with a varied and refined range. From the merlot 'Stradella' to red, from Serprino to a  passito like the Venetian Raboso 'Frigus', the cellar respects local tradition but adds its own touch.

It is possible to take part in winetastings in the breathtaking splendour of the  15th century villa of La Mincana: a way to enjoy and experience the history of Venice at the highest level.

Since 1907 the Due Carrare winery has been owned by the Dal Martello family. It covers 57 hectares, 18 of which are taken up by vineyards. Its main activity is wine production.

A careful selection and cultivation of vines, a low ratio of grapes to area, attention to technical details and succesive phases of production all contribute to the high quality of the final result.

In the Due Carrare winery you can sample the prestigious wines of the Euganean Hills in winetastings accompanied by typical local foods.
