In 1966 the Conegliano - Valdobbiadene and Prosecco wine route derives in fact from the old Strada del Vino Bianco, and offers the perfect opportunity to experience the many villas, castles and other attractions in its splendid countryside. The verdant rolling hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene are the uncontested realm of Prosecco, known above all in its spumante version (there are however both an Extra Dry and Brut version).


There are many other treasures of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene food and wine: Prosecco di Conegliano and  Prosecco di Valdobbiadene are DOC standard wines produced on the hillsides leading from Vittorio Veneto to Valdobbiadene and which number 15 comunes and around 3,500 hectares of vines. The Conegliano food and wine and Valdobbiadene food and wine are of ancient rustic origin, formed of traditional dishes of risotto, wild mushrooms, abundant portions of polenta, accompanied by meats and vegetables, with cheeses and country desserts.


The Prosecco di Conegliano and Prosecco di Valdobbiadene are suited to every dish, though particulary esteemed with fish and at festive occasions.
