Giorgia in concert – Padua

The new tour of Giorgia is coming to Padua on 3 March 2012. The Rome singer is back on stage after her pregnancy break to present her latest masterpiece “Behind the Appearances” to her fans.

Distributed by Sony Music, the album was released on 6 September 2011 and has been hugely successful thanks to the hit “My best day”, which preceded the release of the album in June and has been certified as a Gold Record in July 2011 and also a Platinum Record in September for over 30,000 units sold.

The second successful single from the album is “Inevitable”, a duet with Eros Ramazzotti, which has already entered the top singles chart. “Behind the Appearances” features many other collaborations with artists such as Jovanotti and Marina Rei (“Summer will pass”) as well as a track written by Giorgia’s partner Emanuel Lo.

Giorgia has referred to this album as a turning point, full of energy, reflective and ironic. Throughout the album’s thirteen tracks, which touch different genres and styles of interpretation, Giorgia shows her vocal abilities without disappointing the expectations of her fans.

Despite the numerous collaborations, more than half the tracks have been written by the singer, a further demonstration of her talent and role as an accomplished artist.

The 2012 Behind the Appearances Tour is the best opportunity to get to know this new album after a long absence of the artist from the limelight. Giorgia recently commented about her return to performing live: “I haven’t bee on tour for a while and I am missing being on stage. Who knows what it will be like for me and the audience, together again with past songs and those from the new album. I cannot wait!”.
