Alleghe and Arabba are two other reasons behind the pride of our mountains: two localities basking in the beauties of the Dolomite landscape, both firm favourites of experienced skiers.

Alleghe is a magnificent tourist town in the heart of the Veneto Dolomites, embellished by the characteristic lake which bears its name, formed in 1771 following a disastrous landslide from Monte Spitz (easily recognisable today from its profile), which wiped out the three villages of Riete, Marin and Fusine. The winter ski station forms a part of the Monte Civetta ski area.

The village lies at the foot of the mountain, and comprises over 100km of piste suitable for every level (even for night skiing), equipped with the latest ski-lifts, and benefitting from the ski chain 'Dolomiti Superski', the largest skiing area in the world, with over 1000km of piste and an exclusive skibus service which connects 12 stations between Trentino and Veneto.

Every sporting activity you can do on snow is possible here and also in the area of Civetta, immersed in its poetic natural beauty of fir and conifer trees: from alpine to nordic skiing, and snowboarding. Lovers of freestyle can make use of the snowpark. The summer months allow the possibility of fantastic hikes and walks.

Be it sport or relaxation, Alleghe combines both with its great traditional cuisine and its folklore, animating every season.

Arabba (1600m above sea level) lies in the valley Valle di Livinallogno of the Col di Lana hills, and is another paradise for winter sports, from skiing to skating, surrounded by the Marmolada, and thus completing the picture of a perfect winter resort.

The piste are included in the 'Sellaronda' complex, and the Arabba area also forms part of the Dolomiti Superski.

Cable cars, ski-lifts, and chair lifts all serve a network of slopes of more than 60km, for every level from beginner to professional (who have splendid piste reserved for their use).

In the summer Arabba attracts tourists who come for the hiking along the Dolomite routes.
