Cesare Cremonini in concert

19 December 2008

First tour on the MoonThe 19 December sees Cesare Cremonini, ex leader of Lunapop, in concert at Palanet in Padua to promote the newly-released album The First Kiss on the Moon , and the single from it Le 6 e 26. Cremonini, at 29 years old, has reached a maturity with this album, a decisive step forward for the artist, leaving his Lunapop past, with songs of a high level of sensibility and reflection, though without abandoning the refined lightness of touch which characterises his work. Combining the best of British beat, rock and punk with the tradition of Italian pop, he is seeking to reach both a maturer audience as well as pleasing the hordes of adoring teenage fans. The tour, organised by Friends and Partners, takes in 6 dates in Italian cities, the concert in Padua being the only date in the Veneto region. Cesare Cremonini will be accompanied by the band used on his last album, including the inseparable bassist Nicola Balestri.

Concert begins at 9.30p.m. Tickets cost 20 and can be purchased though Coin Padua and Treviso, Boxoffice, Primi alla Prima (Banca del veneziano, BCC del veneto and Casse Rurali Trentine Happyticket, Unicredit, Cariparo and Ticketone.
