From 4 October to 3 November, the Combai Chestnut Festival in 2013 will liven up the province with a fascinating fusion of Treviso events and flavours of autumn. Three weeks to discover the delights of Combai chestnuts (awarded the IGP for one of the most popular food festivals in Italy in Veneto in autumn!If you find yourself in the area of Combai, the chestnut festival in Treviso is an event not to be missed! The area of the Combai chestnuts includes 11 municipalities in the Mountain Community of the Treviso Alps (Province of Treviso). In addition to the characteristic centre of Combai, the sagra castagna will give you the opportunity to discover the beautiful area of Treviso Hills: ancient buildings such as the Cistercian Abbey of Follina, the sanctuary of the Madonna del Carmine in Miane, Castelbrando in Cison of Valmarino and the ancient church of San Pietro di Feletto are intertwined with beautiful trails deep into the chestnut trees woods or between the vineyards of Prosecco.
