The oldest fair in Italy celebrates its 90th birthday with a feast of entertainment.Fiera dei Campioni is, as the name suggest, a means of introducing and promoting the various markets on offer (campioni means samples). Since its inception the event has grown toi international renown, and is one of the most important dates for the North East territory of Italy. The numbers speak for themselves:1000 exhibitors and 260,000 vistors at last years fair. The size makes it practically a whole city housed within the exhibtion space of Padovafiere, attracting a vaired public of professionals and the curious, young and old, enthusiasts and those seeeking a new interest, whole families and individuals focussing their entire attention on their special passions.The will be new additions to the proceedings to mark the 90th anniversary of the fair: beginning at 10a.m. on the 16th May with a rally to the Euganean Hills, encompassing both vintage and the most up-to-date vehicles, both cars and motorbikes, and featuring refreshment stops in selected points to sample the local delicacies. In the fair intself we can find a new beauty salon, workshops dedicated to arts and crafts and commercial products, a model of the famous Caff Pedrocchi, and blueprints of car and motorbike models from the Italian School of Design; in addition to which this year sees the introduction of CampionariaCavalli, an area 4,000 m2 dedicated to horses.Further attractions include 90 dogs in 9 days, the House of Beer, and many more. The evenings offer possibilites of shows, music and other entertainment to provide the perfect day out.
