Luca Francioso and the young duo known as Milagro, who in February 2008 took part in 58 Edition of the Sanremo Festival with the song Domani which met with great acclaim from public and critics alike, present a free musical event for the occasion of the forthcoming Christmas festivities. Luca Francioso is an acoustic fingerstyle guitarist who began playing at a very early age. His compositions aim at the simplicity and power of melodies, yet reaching across musical genres, as in his novels. He loves to tell stories through and with his art. As he says: I have quite a classical background when I play, a very Italian taste for melody and an all-encompassing curiosity for listening and inspiration. For me the guitar is an instrument, but in the literal sense of the term: an instrument for communicating and sharing something. In my work the guitar is rarely left alone: it is the main voice which tells the story, but is always accompanied, quietly and sometimes in an undertone, by other instruments. Looking at it in this light it is easier to understand my style. Technique is never the message, what my fingers play is always at the service of the melody and the emotions. It's very similar to my way of telling stories (in fact I sometimes use a pen and paper to tell them). Obviously a bit of technique helps to find more solutions in the language, but I try to never let it get the upper hand, even though I admit I do like to experiment.
The concert takes place Saturday 20 December 2008 at 9 p.m. at the Sala Convegni della Banca dei Colli Euganei di Lozzo Atestino (Padua) in Piazza Dalle Fratte 1.
