San Martino Fete and 41st Exhibition of the Euganei Hills DOC Wines

From 31 October 2010 to 14 November 2010

In autumn, when the Euganei Hills display the most beautiful colours, with shades varying between red and gold, and local traditions spring up with irresistible flavours that fill the air, will see the return of the San Martino Fete at Luvigliano di Torreglia, the long standing traditional event, highly awaited by the local people and attracting more and more tourists every year. This autumnal event takes usually place alongside the Exhibition of the Euganei Hills DOC Wines, now in its 41st year, which attracts wine enthusiasts who come here looking for special emotions knowing that this area produces high quality red and white wines which can be appreciated at every possible occasion. And this is for sure one of them. Farmers from the Euganei hills have devoted themselves to making wine since time immemorial, but have also been able to widen their offering to wine aficionados and managed to reach, thanks to the highly distinguished quality of their wine, the highest levels in the national and international wine sectors. With classic grape varieties and exclusive offers, there are many companies that have become well-known yet there are still many small growers that add a touch of prestige to the local production and that should be discovered with an on-site visit. This event, organized by the San Martino Association, the DOC Wines Exhibition Committee in collaboration with the Consortium of the Euganei Hills DOC Wines, includes a series of initiatives that span from the tasting of wines and local produces to music events, arts prizes and charity raffles. There will also be food stalls and various special guests attending the event. The fete will take place in Luvigliano in the Parish of San Martino and at Villa Pollini and in other nearby places.
