Simply Red The greatest hits

19 May 2009

Simply Reds world tour is fast becoming a total sell-out, with strong demand to witness Mick Hucknall bring his band to the stage. The only date in the north-east of Italy is this one, at Conegliano, scheduled for 19 May. Tickets available through Jungle Records, Conegliano, Coin Ticket Store Treviso as well as usual ticket outlets.Simply Red entered the annals of pop in the 80s with their simple yet catchy tunes which enabled them to conquer the international charts with numbers such as Money's Too Tight To Mention and The Right Thing, until Stars and the more recent So Not Over You.The concert continues the series of top names at the Zoppas Arena such as Zucchero, Venditti e and Jovanotti, and offers a true pop experience, notwithstanding the bands constant influences of world music.Joining Mick Hucknall will be Ian Kirkham saxophone, Kenji Suzuki guitar, Dave Clayton keyboards, Pete Lewinson on drums, Steve Lewinson bass, Chris De Margary saxophone and flute, John Johnson trombone and percussion, Kevin Robinson trombone, Sarah Brown and Dee Johnson as backing singers. The tour will be the bands final farewell to live performances, as Mick Hucknall confirmed in a recent interview.
