Amongst the Su e Zo per i Ponti Venice participants there are numerous folk groups who, with varied costumes, shows and music, give a festive touch to this great multicultural event.In a few years Su e Zo per i Ponti has become one of the most significant running races in Venice for the strong spirit of brotherhood and solidarity that has always distinguished it. Su e Zo per i Ponti Venice continues to renew itself year after year thanks to the enthusiasm and commitment of more than 500 volunteers who make this event possible, supported by contributions from employers, banks and public institutions.Two paths and two different starting points in order to enable everyone to participate in the Su e Zo per i Ponti: the long route starts in St Marks Square - 12 km and 48 bridges - and the short course - 6 km and 26 bridges - leaves from Venice Saint Lucia train station. For both departures, the path of the Su e Zo per i Ponti in Venice ends in the beautiful setting of St Marks Square.Streets, bridges, squares and pavements , the Su e Zo per i Ponti Venezia race through almost all districts, allowing those who participate an opportunity to admire Venice in all its glory, from the great classics - such as St Marks Square, the Biennial Gardens , Lista di Spagna, Punta della Dogana, the Zattere and the Academy and also lesser known places like the Arsenal, the Fondamenta Nuove and the Misericordia, Santo Stefano Square and the church of St Moses.As every year, the map of the Su e Zo per i Ponti route is designed to ensure the smooth running of an event that attracts between 10,000 and 12,000 people every year, with refreshments points and assistance along the way.The literary path of the Su e Zo per i Ponti has also been revived and organized for the third consecutive year by Simone Caltran.
