Themes and variations. Script and Space.

From 15 October 2011 to 01 January 2012

For the third edition of the project Themes and Variations the museum Guggenheim is offering visitors the possibility of admiring a series of works displayed in the guise of a dialog amongst contemporary collections and monographic exhibitions centred on the ideas of Script & Space.Masterpieces of the 20th century will, therefore, be put side to side with post-WWII works to generate a confrontation on the evolution of expressive marks. In particular, the exhibitions will examine the features of script and space ranging from collage in Cubism to more enigmatic realizations, through the outputs of abstract expressionism. All this will be made possible with the display of masterpieces from Picasso, Agnetti, Pollock and Novelli, one of the main protagonists of Italian arts from the 50s and 60s.Open everyday from 10am to 6pm, closed on Tuesdays and on December 25th and 26th. Entry tickets from 10 to 12 euros with concessions and free entry as specified at the entrance.
