One of the toughest Dolomites races returns on 21 July: the Trascivetta 2013!A historic Dolomites running event in pairs through the Marcia, Transcivetta. The Transcivetta running, now in its 33rd edition, is a very difficult race, one of the most spectacular Dolomites events and has become one of the most anticipated events of the Dolomites, Italy in the summer.The trail Transcivetta, is still an extraordinary mix of fabulous scenery, climbs and flat sections that athletes will face strictly in pairs. During the footrace Transcivetta there will be checkpoints where couples must pass with a gap of no more than thirty seconds otherwise they will be disqualified from the race.From Listolade to Piani di Pezz: the Dolomiti trail running route of Transcivetta karpos addresses some of the most difficult parts of the Dolomites, touching four splendid mountain huts which are a popular destination for hikers from all over the world. Following the departure from Transcivetta, the altitude will continue to increase for the entire journey: 23.5 km and 1,950 m in altitude, a succession of ascents, descents and with a short 'pause' on flatter ground for a maximum of six hours and thirty minutes.The start of the Dolomites running race - Transcivetta karpos is fixed at Listolade, a small town in the heart of the Dolomites, located between the towns of Taibon and Cencenighe. The athletes in the race will then run towards Val Corpassa passing through the Capanna Trieste Refuge and Mario Vazzoler Refuge before taking the Val Civetta to reach the Tissi Refuge. Col Negro, Forcella and Coldai Refuge are confirmed to be among the hardest stages of the Dolomites trail race. The Transcivetta will conclude at Piani di Pezz with the awards ceremony.Like last year, the Dolomites, Italy running event of the Transcivetta will include a competition pack for each runner containing a highly technical garment created exclusively for the athletes at the Transcivetta.To participate in the Dolomites running trail - Transcivetta 2013 entries are open until 13 July but may close earlier if the maximum of 1000 pairs apply.Many participants and prizes are expected for the Transcivetta race running in the Dolomited, Italy is not limited to only rewarding the first couple who reach the finish line, but also rewarding those running in the Dolomites who achieve time milestones along the way - a 'secret average time', for the best couples and to the youngest of the race.One of the most exciting running events of the Dolomites, a difficult and spectacular race that for more than thirty years has animated the beautiful Dolomites in Italy in the summer!
