Rossella Brescia, Cristina Chiabotto, Vanessa Incontrada and Paola Perego, this is the quartet who will present the 5th edition of the Wind Music Awards, the show celebrating Italian music in the magnificent historic surroundings of the Verona Arena during two, not-to-be-missed, evenings by the aficionados of the music of Italy Inc.The event is promoted by the Wind communication campaign together with representatives of the music world (FIMI; AFI and PMI) and will award the most successful songs of 2011 in the Italian music world. This is the third consecutive year that this music event is being held in the city of Romeo and Juliet. It was watched live by 20,000 people whilst around 3 million spectators followed it on television. This years event on 27 and 28 May will live up to the expectations with the presence of many highly-acclaimed artists on stage who will be given a series of awards, according to the number of copies released and sold in the course of last year: 120,000 copies for the multi-platinum award, 60,000 copies for the platinum one and 30,000 for the gold award. On top of the prestigious awards for copies sold by Italian artists, there will be additional awards: Digital Songs given to those records totalling at least 30,000 downloads in the course of last year; the Upcoming young artists awards and the special award Verona Arena.The event will be attended by many national and international guests, from the world of showbiz, television, sport and culture. They will take it in turns to make the event exciting and will hand the awards to the artists, the real protagonists of these two magical evenings, under the stars of the magnificent arts city of Verona.
