Climate in Venice and other areas in Veneto

Are you wondering when is the best period to visit Venice? The best seasons are undoubtedly the spring months - March, April and May when the weather in Venice, Italy is mild and ideal for walking - or September and October. During the summer months, the heat sometimes makes the climate in Venice unpleasant, while in winter the temperature can drop below 0°C. Regarding the rest of the region, the most suitable periods are more or less the same as indicated also for Venice, spring (April-May) and autumn (October-November): in these months the colours of nature are particularly beautiful, and the mild climate in Venice, Italy favours the Venetian outdoor excursions. A separate issue is holidays in the mountains, where the skiing season typically lasts from December to the end of March, while the ideal months for summer trips are ranging from July to September; and stays in the seaside resorts, recommended from June to September.
