- Modern and Contemporary Art
As with past editions, exhibitors at Art Padova – a total of 160, selected amongst the best Italian and foreign artists and the most renowned Italian art galleries - will display great works of art, ranging from established figures (such as Accardi, Afro, Balla, Burri, Carrà, De Chirico, De Pisis, Dorazio, Fontana, Guttuso, Hartung, Klee, Magritte, Morandi, Picasso, Pistoletto, Santomaso, Sironi, Soldati, Vasarely, Vedova, Warhol and many others) to innovative experimentations and present day works, such as videos, live performances and installations. Inside pavilions 7 and 8 of the art fair at Padova Fiere, visitors will this way be able to immerse themselves in different visuals paths ranging from Futurism, Abstractism, Metaphysics, Pop Art and Conceptual Art to the most-recent contemporary trends.
- Contemporary Art Talent Show
The Art Under 5000 project is open only to galleries, associations and artists displaying artwork valued at less than €5000. The aims of this original project, presented as part of art fair Padova, 2017, range from harnessing the work of emerging artists and helping them reach a wider audience, to stimulating the market by offering works at affordable prices and promoting new venues to allow all artistic expressions to have their works recognized. Visitors will be able to enter a great creative workshop and find the work best matching their style with the confidence they will be able to bring home an original piece at a reasonable price. In parallel with the contemporary art fair in Padua, ArtePadova will also stage the C.A.T.S. Award, given to young talented artists exhibiting at the art fair in Padua.
- Arte Padova Expo Libri
Books have featured prominently at the art fair in Padua, Italy, since the establishment in 2013 of the fair dedicated to books and publishing with the aim to promote book publishing in the North East of Italy. An event featuring entertainment, knowledge and culture, Expo Libri is more than just a showcasing opportunity but rather a way of conceiving the book as a true art form. The choice of staging the Expo during the Modern and Contemporary Art fair in Padua will allow its receptive and reading-inclined visitors to come into direct contact with the publishing world, thanks also to conferences and talks with the publishers who will promote well-known authors but also emerging and talented young ones.
Among the new features of the art trade show in Padua we are bringing your attention to the large stand dedicated to free art, devoid of any limitation or mental barrier, and the participation of Desirèe Prada, a designer, painter and sculptor known for her casts of the baby bumps of expectant mothers.
After last year’s extraordinary success of Arte Padova, with the participation of almost 26,000 visitors, the Modern and Contemporary Art fair in Padua is all set to begin: from 10th to 13th November, do not miss one of the longest running art trade shows in Italy!
