Christmas Film Festival 2011
From 27 December 2011 to 06 January 2012
Christmas and its values of friendship, solidarity and brotherhood will be the main themes of the screenings: short and long films, including fiction, cartoons and documentaries. But the Festival will not just be an event for passionate film lovers or those in the trade. The film screenings will in fact be accompanied by numerous other initiatives that will attract and entice a much wider audience: childrens fairytales accompanied by live music, concerts, books presentations, debates and meetings, shows, snowshoe walks in the woods, guided visits of the area, local tours and tastings of local produces.
On top of this, participants will have the opportunity to meet the renowned writer and mountaineer Mauro Corona, who will receive the Christmas Love prize for his endless passion for nature and work aimed at showing how literature can play a role in protecting and enhancing nature.
The Christmas Film Festival will therefore be an ideal and additional reason to spend your Christmas Holidays, or even a single day, in the suggestive surroundings of the Eastern Dolomites. Immerse yourself in one of the best beloved mountain sceneries in the world and discover the charming villages of Alleghe and Selva di Cadore.
