Cortinametraggio 2013 is one of the most colourful Cortina events and now in its fourth edition. This year the Cortinametraggio international short film festival opens with interesting news to involve even more public and the inhabitants of Cortina d'Ampezzo.
A great proposal for the 2013 edition of the Cortinametraggio festival will be the Book Trailer, a special section which aims to promote reading through short films that highlight the essence and the very atmosphere of a book. This is the second cinema festivals competition in Italy dedicated to this particular form of creativity, after that held at the Book Fair Imperia. The new proposal of the festival cinema Cortina aims to become a permanent fixture in the events for the next few years.
At Cortinametraggio 2013, the Book Trailer will complement the traditional competition dedicated to Corticomedy: fiction and short comedy films by young Italian directors. This challenge promises to be in line with the latest trends in Italian cinema, with space to light heartedness and laughterIn addition to Book Trailer, the new edition of Cortinametraggio festival opens to foreign countries presenting a retrospective outside of the competition dedicated to Spain and its interesting short comedy.
The purpose of Cortinametraggio is to promote the cinema and its relationship with Cortina d'Ampezzo, a perfect setting for films thanks to its fabulous scenery and the magical mountains that surround its valley. The festival also wants to show the works of the young artists in the competition with many free events that give an idea of filming in its broader sense, such as exhibitions, presentations and conferences.
Divided into five days, the program for Cortinametraggio includes a full schedule of exhibitions, meetings, news, gifts and projections that culminates in the final day with the award ceremony.Judging the films in the competition at the Cortina film festival will be an exceptional jury composed of experts in film and television critics, as well as the National Union of Italian Film Journalists that will award the special prize of the Silver Ribbons.
The Cortina film festival is a Cortina top event for those passionate and for others who take advantage of the different events in Cortina d'Ampezzo to enjoy a few days of glamour and the high society life style.
