Europe in concert
30 January 2010

This LP from the group famous for The Final Countdown, is their eigth studio album, and singer Joey Tempest says it reflects more truly the group than their previous two LPs.
Europe play a total of four dates in Italy: this one in Padua will be their only northern Italian venue (they follow it by moving on to Vienna).
Their concert in Piazzola sul Brenta in the summer of 2008 reaffirmed the groups talent and continuity for producing solid healthy rock, reconfirming them to their older fans and attracting a newer audience as well.
Formed in 1981 in Sweden originally named Force, the group consisted of Joey Tempest (vocals John Norum (guitar) and John Leven (bass); after winning a music contest in the early 80s they got a recording contract. After changing their name to Europe and recording two albums Europe and Wings Of Tomorrow they signed with Epic Records under a new line-up. 1986 saw the album The Final Countdown with its eponymous smash hit single. After releasing two more albums they split up, only to reform with the original line-up in 2003, and releasing Start from the Dark, followed by Secret Society in 2006. Their live album Almost unplugged was also released in 2008.
