Romeo e Giulietta. Ama e cambia il mondo at the Arena di Verona

Taken from the immortal work of William Shakespeare, with costumes by Frdric Olivier and music and lyrics by Grard Presgurvic, 'Romeo and Juliet de la haine a l'amour' will debut at the Arena of Verona programme before moving to Rome where it will be staged from 18th October to 3rd November 2013.
The 'Romeo and Juliet Musical Ama e cambia il mondo boasts a young and dynamic cast: Romeo will be played by David Merlini, one of the revelations of the 2012 X-Factor whilst Giulia Luzi - I Cesaroni and Un medico in famiglia- will play the part of Juliet. The cast of the musical Romeo and Juliet also includes Luca Giacomelli (Mercuzio Barbara Cola (Lady Capulet Gio Tortorelli (Friar Lorenzo Vittorio Matteucci (Count Capulet Gianluca Merolli (Tebaldo) and Riccardo Maccaferri (Benvolio).
The Romeo e Guilietta Musical boasts exceptional records: more than 9 million viewers and 6 million CDs and CDV sold worldwide. In the period of the debut of Romeo e Giulietta at the Arena di Verona in October 2013, the show will also be on stage in more than 20 different international productions.
In preparation for Romeo e Giulietta in Verona, the Arena is preparing for an extraordinary stage set that will accommodate more than a hundred people, including artists, technicians, costume designers, choreographers. An internationally renowned team for the Romeo e Giulietta Musical by David Zard - which has already led in Italy shows the likes of Alegria and Saltimbanco of Cirque du Soleil and the famous 'Notre Dame de Paris' by Riccardo Cocciante - with lyrics by Vincenzo Incenzo and directed by the innovative Giuliano Peparini.
