International Sand Sculpture Show 2014 in Jesolo Lido
fantastic sand creations inspired by Dante's views
From 15 July 2014 to 03 August 2014
In the rich calendar of events in Jesolo 2014 the traditional appointment of the sand sculptures could not be missing. From July 15 to August 3the Jesolo International Sand Sculpture Festival in Jesolo, Italy will animate the most popular seaside resort in the Upper Adriatic with many new features and fun opportunities!
The first change concerns the location: the Sand Sculpture Exhibition Jesolo 2014 moves from the traditional structure set up in Brescia Square to the main squares in Via A. Bafile, in order to be closer to the heart of the city and more convenient for the people who visit it. Brescia Square, Torino Square, Nember Square and Primo Maggio Square will welcome the beautiful Jesolo sand sculptures 2014, and the artists who have been called to make them.
Strolling along the famous Via Bafile, you will be able to see the 11 sculptors who will make the Lido di Jesolo sand sculptures 2014 at work, timetable from 2pm-11pm, and also to assist step by step the creation of these magnificent objects of art as elaborated as they are ephemeral. But the festivals in Jesolo, Italy for 2014 do not only include sand sculpture masterpieces: by side there will in fact be scenic designs and purposely made topiary creations.
Since 1998, the Jesolo Italy sand sculptures festival attracts internationally renowned sculptors to engage in the difficult challenge of modelling large volumes of sand freely whilst interpreting a theme, different each year, which leaves wide room for creativity and imagination. The theme chosen for the Jesolo Sand Sculpture Festival 2014 is inspired once again by the Dantean landscapes.
Under the artistic guidance of Richard Varano and with the collaboration of the students from the Art School of Venice, the artists at the Jesolo sand festival will give shape to 'Heaven and Hell'... Live! Another innovation in the 2014 sand festival Jesolo will in fact be the contact with the public: the artists at the sand sculpture lido di Jesolo exhibition will not work behind the scenes anymore - as in the previous editions, when the public could admire the works only on completion. The festival in Jesolo 2014 allows viewers to watch the various stages of the creative process.
Over the years, the Jesolo International Sand Sculpture festival 2014 has helped to increase the charm and resonance of Jesolo Lido, a tourist destination which can renew and successfully implement its offer year after year. Among the many July Lido di Jesolo events 2014 we also recall the fascinating exhibition dedicated to Andy Warhol 'The world fascinates me', which is open until September 8th!
And do not forget the surroundings of Venice and its islands! They are easily accessible by public transports from Cavallino - Treporti and Punta Sabbioni, are located just a short distance from Jesolo Lido.
