The Straverona training is a regular event in Verona in June for athletes and some Olympic champions have also competed in past editions. Sports fans and visitors regularly take the opportunity to participate in a fascinating and engaging event which combines the discovery of Verona and the chance to undertake a bit of outdoor sport.
The non-competitive race has a choice of three routes - 5/13/21 km - confined to the territory of Verona, the Straverona training 2013 also caters for young people under the age of 14 who, on Saturday June 1 in the afternoon will compete in the Junior Straverona.
Straverona 2013 route will be divided into three different routes: 5 km flat route through the most beautiful places of the historical centre of Verona; 13 km, with a deviation from the short route to give participants the panoramic view from the Torricelle; 21 Km, a more challenging route that goes to Valpantena, through the pine forests and the Scaligere walls of Torricelle.
All the Straverona routes start at 9.00 a.m. at the Br Gates.

Show your breastplate number of the Straverona and have free access to the most important historical and cultural institutions of the city - Roman Theatre, Castelvecchio, Verona Arena, Lapidary Maffeiano Museum, Juliet's home and Tomb, Natural History Museum on Friday 31st May, Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd June 2013.
As for the Straverona Training 2013 programme- the free meetings organized by Straverona Association in collaboration with the Department of Sport of the City of Verona and the Faculty of Kinesiology and University of Verona - a series of weekly events in Verona in June are planned every Thursday at 6.30 p.m. in various green areas of Verona, to prepare for the biggest sporting event on 2nd June.
During the event the Straverona programme provides entertainment for all tastes: street performers, concerts and Area Expo Verona to liven up the evening!Do not miss one of the biggest sporting Verona homecoming events 2013!
