Theatre Season 2009/2010

The Teatro Sociale of Cittadellas theatre season got underway in November, and offers a programme encompassing both traditional and modern works, from Shakespeares Much Ado about Nothing to Duck a lOrange. The National Dance Foundation perform Casanova, and the new year gets off to a roaring start with a production of Neil Simons The Odd Couple which offers a new twist: the protagonists are both played by women!A QUALCUNO PIACE CARTA is an intriguing performance involving actors dressed in paper costumes representing famous personalities, and an interpretation of Vittorio De Sicas LORO DI NAPOLI offers new tales to modernise the narrative.

The comedy DONA FLOR E I SUOI DUE MARITI is based on the novel by Jorge Amado, and new playwriting talent is on display with LE ULTIME LUNE by Furio Bordon. Shakespeare returns in The Taming of the Shrew N.B. Al productions are in Italian.
