The Venice Carnival is set to be staged again from 4 to 21 February 2023: the city’s squares and streets will be turned into an open-air theater with music, shows, exhibitions and parades. As in last year, the Arsenale will be the main stage of a great show on the water and parades of floats with masks will return to the mainland and the nearby islands.

"Take your Time for the Original Signs" is the title of the 2023 Venice Carnival, which sees Massimo Checchetto - artistic director and set designer of the Teatro La Fenice – as once again the artistic director. The idea is to reinterpret, reinvent, absorb and free up symbols such as earth, fire, water and air and the zodiac signs, with the playful and ironic soul typical of the carnival.
