Full description

Just imagine a quiet summer evening, whilst enjoying a gondola and an aperitif in the Venetian lagoon at sunset, accompanied by the sound of lapping water... sounds good, doesn’t it? With venetoinside.com everything can become reality!

Thanks to our tour 'Gondola aperitif in the Venetian lagoon at sunset', bookable minimum 2 maximum 4 people, you can live an unforgettable experience: a boat tour departing from the Marina Fiorita dock at Cavallino - Treporti, navigating through the northern Venice lagoon by gondola up to the island of Burano, where you will stop to enjoy an aperitif surrounded by silence and the fascinating twilight colors.

By the way, for those who happened not to know, due to its beauty, the Venice lagoon, and the city itself, gained the UNESCO World Heritage Site accolade in 1987.

But let's take a closer look at how our tour at sunset in the lagoon of Venice will unfold. Once you reach the Marina Fiorita dock, you will be greeted by our guide who will share with you some historical facts on the Venice lagoon and Venetian ‘voga’, a peculiar rowing technique developed in these areas, which distinguishes itself for the standing position of the rower and for the peculiar use of the oar, which also acts as a rudder.

Once the guide’s fascinating explanations come to an end, you will climb on board a gondola, the typical Venetian boat instantly recognisable worldwide for its peculiar shape. Thus your ride on the gentle waters of the northern lagoon of Venice shall begin. It is worth spending a few words on this area, undoubtedly worth seeing. An oasis of peace and silence, the lagoon is an undisputed kingdom of several species of birds, even rare ones such as the marsh owl and the Pontic seagull: unsurprisingly, it is one of the favorite areas for bird-watching lovers! But the true queen of the northern part of the lagoon is light: yes, the lights that, depending on the time and the season, reflect on the water surface, enhancing the surrounding landscape with beautiful colors and rendering it even more unique. Enjoying an aperitif on the boat at sunset is really the best: the sun paints everything in red, orange and brown creating a magical atmosphere that will fill you with warmth and peacefulness.

Continuing your boat ride towards Canale San Felice you will spot the islands of Venice on the horizon, as if suspended over the water, with their bell towers that almost seem to touch the sky. In particular, you will see the skyline of Burano, one of the best known islands, famous all over the world for the traditional craft of making lace decorations and for the colorful houses that make this place truly unique. Another island that you will see during your tour of the Venetian lagoon at sunset is Torcello, one of the oldest settlements in the lagoon which currently only has about fifteen inhabitants. However, it is a very popular place for tourists due to the inestimable historical and archaeological heritage it preserves. During your tour you will also see Sant'Erasmo – the second largest island after Venice - which, thanks to its strategic location between Murano, Burano and Punta Sabbioni, enjoys an extraordinary panorama. The huge presence of vegetable gardens, vineyards and orchards has earned it the nickname of ‘Venice’s allotment’ since the times of the Serenissima.

During this unmissable Venetian lagoon tour at evening, there will also be some short stops during which you can immortalize unique moments. We would recommending bringing along your best camera... wait and see, it will be worth it!

Our tour from Cavallio - Treporti also includes, as already mentioned, a tasting of a typical Venetian aperitif. Cradled by water, you can sip a glass of good prosecco, enjoying a postcard view. In short, an aperitif at sunset in lagoon... what more could you want?

Well actually, we can think of something... trying out rowing in a gondola! Yes, you have understood it correctly: your guide will let you experience the thrill of rowing a gondola in the lagoon. On the other hand, you have already read something about it before starting the tour, right? So, now is the time to put yourself to the test... but panic not, it will be fun! And of course, a photo posing as a gondolier is a must!

After having experienced with us this beautiful corner of Venice lagoon at sunset in gondola, immersed in its incredible natural landscapes, you will return to the starting point, the Marina Fiorita dock.

What are you waiting for? Book our gondola tour in Venetian lagoon with an aperitif at sunset... you will discover a corner of paradise!
