All is set at the Hotel Carlton on the Grand Canal to make you relish the 2019 Carnival thanks to four unmissable masquerade events! Saturday 15 and 22 February get ready to celebrate the craziest time of the year with masks, fun, music and great food.
Upon your arrival at the hotel, you will be welcomed by three characters from the Commedia dell'Arte ... Arlecchino, Colombina and Pantalone will show you to your table, where you will enjoy the delicious menu purposely created for the event by the chef of the restaurant 'La Cupola '.
During the dinner, there will be soft Baroque music in the background performed by the Dogaresse di Venezia, a female instruments quartet that, for the occasion, will be dressed with refined Venetian 18th century costumes.
In between the dinner courses, you will be entertained with three short burlesque shows, in which irreverence, irony, elegance and humor will create the perfect atmosphere to celebrate the carnival at its best!
- Venice Carnival: the mystery will gradually give way to an explosion of joy: which mask of the Carnival is hidden behind the long cloak?
- Vestirello: striptease the other way-round. Classical but also ironic Burlesque, with an element of surprise.
- Bees and Flowers: a Burlesque performance by Baloon Dance where a mischievous bee buzzes and pricks two little flowers, but ... what goes round, comes round!
From 10.30pm there will be dancing and fun with DJ mix!
Overlooking the Grand Canal, the Hotel Carlton on the Grand Canal is one of the most renowned and best-known hotels in the historic centre of Venice.
