Are you on the Adriatic coast and would like to visit the Venetian islands, so rich in history and traditions? Worry not, we have what's right for you! Thanks to our guided excursion to Venice, Murano and Burano from Punta Sabbioni, you can discover the wonders of the Venetian lagoon by travelling on board a comfortable motorboat, thus avoiding wasting precious time trying to juggle the various connections of public transport.
You will reach the various destinations starting directly from Jesolo - Punta Sabbioni: Murano and Burano are the two islands from the lagoon that most preserve the Venetian traditions and visiting them is like breathing the atmosphere of the past. Murano, with its furnaces and craft shops dedicated to blown glass, and Burano, with its brightly colored houses, its lacemakers and traditional fishing boats, will make you live a truly unforgettable experience. And for those who fancy it, there is the opportunity to end the day in style by spending a few hours in Venice, perhaps visiting the treasures of St Mark’s Square.
But let's see together how our tour from Punta Sabbioni to Burano, Murano and Venice will take place:
Once boarded the 'Il Doge di Venezia', you will leave for this wonderful day trip to Murano, renowned worldwide for its centuries-old tradition of blown glass, accompanied by the explanations of an expert guide. Once you arrive in St. Mark's Square, the ship will stop for a few minutes, during which we kindly ask you to stay on board. After that, the ship will reach Murano. This cute island, which resembles a miniature Venice, is in turn made up of 9 small islands, connected to each other by bridges that cross the Grand Canal... in short, it is worth considering visiting it at least once in your life!
As mentioned above and as you probably already know, the island of Murano is famous for guarding the secrets of an art as old as it is fascinating: the processing of glass blowing, carried out with so much passion, dedication and skills by glassmaking masters inside the furnaces, a technique so special and colorful that it always leaves young and old gobsmacked! And we don’t want you to miss out on anything, so we’ve thought of that too: once you arrive in Murano from Punta Sabbioni, accompanied by your guide, you will visit one of the still active kilns where you can attend a demonstration on glass working and where, for those interested, there will be the opportunity to buy handmade products.
You will have about an hour to visit and enjoy the true soul of the island.
All aboard the 'Doge of Venice' heading to Burano, the island of lace and colored houses! Once you get off, you will feel like you are in another dimension: surely you will see some elderly lady intent on embroidering the typical buranello lace with her tombolo or some children running on a bicycle, not to mention the colorful blossoming balconies or the fishermen who unload the fish from their boats after a day's work. In short, a decidedly atypical reality that deserves to be seen with our unmissable tour in Burano and Murano from Punta Sabbioni.
Burano’s is one of the most popular lace in the world, whose origins are lost in the mists of time: just think that the first evidence related precisely to the making of lace date as far back as the late fifteenth century! By participating in our tour from Punta Sabbioni to Burano, you can visit, if you want, one of the most prestigious lace exhibitions where you can admire a wonderful private collection of antique laces, household linen, lace and other fine items made entirely by hand. Obviously, those interested can do some shopping... it will be a hard choice because the products, all handcrafted, are one more beautiful than the other!
If you prefer to dedicate your time to something else, you can have lunch in a classic buranella trattoria and sample some typical dishes like 'risotto di gò' or other fresh fish dishes. Or, if you prefer to make a less demanding stop, we suggest you go to a pastry shop and taste a 'Bussolà' and an 'Esse', the two typical cakes from Burano. Alternatively, you can visit the Lace Museum or discover the beauty of the area, such as the leaning bell tower or the house of Bepi Suà, the most colorful and particular of the whole island!
At this point, the tour from Punta Sabbioni to Murano, Burano and Venice will proceed with the navigation to the capital of the lagoon, making a brief stop at Punta Sabbioni to disembark those wanting to end the tour here. You will then reach Venice – St Mark at about 15.45, where you will have free time to visit the city defined by many as the most beautiful in the world. The return to Punta Sabbioni - Jesolo is scheduled at 18.00 from St Mark, pier 2B... what could be better!
If you visit Venice for the first time, you cannot miss the marvelous St Marks’ Square with its monuments: the Basilica, the Doge's Palace and the Bell Tower which, standing 100 metres high, offers a breath-taking panoramic view over the lagoon. If you have already had the good fortune to see these treasures, you can opt for a walk and an ice cream in Riva degli Schiavoni or move to the Rialto area for a picture of the famous bridge or to do some shopping!
