History, nature and tradition: an unforgettable bike excursion from Jesolo Lido and back, along the beautiful River Sile banks and the quiet fishing valleys, passing through Lio Maggiore and Cavallino.
A unique opportunity to immerse yourself in one of the most beautiful areas of the Venetian coast, pedalling surrounded by a luxuriant vegetation that will be the frame of an unforgettable day.
Thanks to the convenient departure from Lido di Jesolo, our cycling excursions are the ideal solution for those who want to take advantage of their seaside holiday to discover the less known and busy areas. Venice and Jesolo offer visitors much more than the usual tourist itineraries... Just outside the chaos of the main destinations for mass tourism, there is a beautiful territory rich in history, traditions and landscapes of rare beauty.
You can fully relish the peace of this enchanting territory and enjoy a truly unique excursion!
Visiting Laguna di Venezia by bike will allow you to get in touch with the soul of a landscape where nature has always played a leading role. The area consists of a peninsula, the Cavallino Coast, which separates the Venetian Lagoon from the Adriatic Sea; the River Sile, on the other hand, separates it from the municipality of Jesolo to the northeast. Land, fresh water and salty water are the three elements that have shaped this area in a truly unique way.
During our bike tour outside Venice you will be enchanted by the variety of landscapes that will open before your eyes. Lapped by the Adriatic Sea and the lagoon waters, the trail will be characterized by breath-taking views: dunes, pine forests and golden beaches, as well as the extraordinary lagoon landscape with its canals, shoals, marshes and fishing valleys that characterise Venice’s spectacular profile.
This extraordinary and healthy outing will allow you to discover the virtues of a territory where man and nature have always lived together in mutual respect. It is no coincidence that the itinerary will wind through places of particular importance to the origins of Venice. After the fall of the Roman Empire, the islands of the lagoon offered shelter to the people of the mainland escaping from the barbaric invasions. Not surprisingly, there have been important archaeological discoveries here that have underscored the importance of this area not only with regard to the landscape, but also from a historical and cultural point of view.
The departure point of our bike tour is from Piazza Brescia, in the heart of Jesolo, easy to reach both on foot and by public transport. Here you will find the nature guide that will accompany you in the excursion: the tour is not of particular difficulty, it is a 40 km flat ride with your own bike or a hired one (not included in the tour price).
The activity includes a stretch on boat (included in the cost of the tour) and the opportunity to spend a pleasant lunch break at the Barena farm, where you can sample typical dishes of the area.
