This is an unmissable experience that will allow you to admire the charming Venetian countryside, visit one of the best Prosecco wine houses in Treviso, rich in art and history, and last but not least, to taste the prized Prosecco DOCG accompanied by some delicious 'cicchetti' made with typical products. All this in the company of our expert who will pick you up in Venice or Treviso - based on the choice you expressed at the time of booking - and will accompany you on this original Prosecco tasting tour, ready to answer all of your questions!
There are so many Prosecco winery tours from Venice, especially in the province of Treviso. To always give top level service and maintain a high quality standard, Stefano has selected three wineries, seeking not only an excellent wine quality but also looking at the fascinating historical, architectural and environmental context that surrounds them; every time, he will carefully choose which one to visit, based on the timing of the year and the winery’s availability. The visit to the winery will last about an hour and a half and will be enriched by the tasting of 4 types of wine combined with tasty local products.
These are the options among which the winery included in the tour will be selected:
- Villa Sandi Winery: nestled in the rich greenery of the province of Treviso, the Villa Sandi complex is a wonderful blend of nature and architecture that highlights the harmonious relationship between man and nature. In addition to the tasting of the famous Villa Sandi Prosecco, accompanied by snacks based on typical products, the tour includes a guided tour of the winery - enriched with explanations on the wine production process - and a part of the villa itself, which is a splendid building complex dating back to 1622. The beauty of the stuccos that adorn the walls of its large rooms, the bas-reliefs and the majestic eighteenth-century Murano glass chandeliers will take your breath away!
- Cantina di Collalto: for over a thousand years the name of the Collalto family has been associated with the Treviso area and one of its most precious products: wine. The agricultural activity of the Collalto Counts began at the end of the’ 900s and was set to continue growing its success to the present day. The wine estate extends in an extraordinary natural environmental, of superb historical and landscape interest – it is truly worth seeing. As you will have the chance to see during our Prosecco wine tour, Conte Collalto's winery develops over three levels: on the outside, it maintains the original structure of the early twentieth century while inside it makes use of the most modern oenological techniques. The tour will continue with the tasting of the specialty of the Cantina di Collalto, Prosecco, accompanied by delicious typical products. Subsequently Stefano will accompany you to visit the vineyard providing you with interesting explanations on the area, the methods of cultivation and the best part is that he will share all his passion for the earth and its fruits.
- Cantina Ca’di Rajo: located in the countryside between Conegliano and Oderzo, it is a perfect mix of history, art and tradition. The peculiarity of this complex is undoubtedly the 'Bellussera', a suggestive ray cultivation system dating back to the nineteenth century: Ca’ di Rajo is one of the very few companies in the area that with great commitment and passion has managed to preserve this ancient practice... a truly incredible sight! The tour includes a visit to the winery with explanations of the various phases of the wine production process, a tasting of Ca'di Rajo Prosecco and other wines they produce served with tantalizing local products, as well as a visit to the adjacent Chiesetta della Madonnina del Carmine, owned by the company. The Convent House and the Rai Tower will complete the picture, which, as you will understand from the owners' tales, are historical symbols of high cultural interest.
