Full description

Have you planned all the details of your trip to Venice and all is left is reserving a gondola ride in Venice? We can help you with that! As true insiders, we have assessed and chosen for you the best experiences, times and departure points to guarantee you a relaxed, captivating but above all unforgettable gondola tour in Venice, Italy!

The Santa Maria del Giglio gondola station, from which your private gondola tour in Venice will depart, is located in one of the most fascinating places overlooking the Grand Canal, not far from famous St Mark’s Square whilst at the same time being away from the main tourist itineraries. Here, after completing your Venice gondola ride online booking, you will find your private gondola in Venice waiting for you to make you discover the most evocative glimpses of Venice.

You can book a private gondola ride in Venice at a total price of €105.00, without having to share it with people you don't know, as is the case with the cheaper shared gondola rides in Venice.

Our 30-minute private morning gondola experience in Venice has been designed for all those who want to enjoy the magical experience of a ride aboard the most typical Venetian boat in the clear morning light, when the city shows its best side. You will take in the characteristic colors of Venice’s buildings, the splendor of the marble facades of the great historic mansions and their detailed decorations that will take you on an exciting journey through the history of art, from Byzantine to Gothic style and Renaissance to Baroque...in short, a real encyclopedia on water!

You will sail along the stunning Grand Canal illuminated by the bright morning sunlight and then explore the intimate small canals of Venice where, amid plays of light and shadows, you will admire fascinating and mysterious glimpses that you will not resist from capturing with your camera. A long-lasting memory of a unique experience to be relished with the people you are most fond of on board a gondola booked exclusively for you.

On this original morning gondola ride in Venice, you will navigate along one of the most complete and enchanting itineraries of the historic centre of Venice: the departure of the gondola ride from Giglio pier will afford a breathtaking view of the splendid Basilica of Santa Maria della Salute, designed as a votive offering by the entire city to celebrate the end of the terrible plague of 1630. Continuing to the right, along the Grand Canal, lulled by the gentle lapping of the waves, you will pass an exceptional showcase of the most elegant palaces of the Serenissima built in succession:

  • the beautiful but equally cursed Ca’ Dario, haunted by the ghosts of its owners, all dead in tragic and mysterious circumstances;
  • the unfinished Leoni’s Palazzo Venier, now home to the prestigious collection of the great American patron Peggy Guggenheim;
  • the small Casetta Rossa, almost a doll's house among the great piers of the surrounding buildings, which was the study of great Antonio Canova and the Venetian residence of Italian writer Gabriele d’Annunzio;
  • Palazzo Corner della Ca ’Grande, designed by Jacopo Sansovino, who worked extensively for the city of water and was named Proto (leading architect) of the Republic of Venice.
  • Next, leaving behind the usual hustle and bustle of the Grand Canal, you will immerse yourself in the peaceful silence of the inner canals, where you can sense the true essence of Venice made of sounds, colors and smells. Between corners of unparalleled beauty and breathtaking views, you will then come to admire the scenic tall tower of the famous Gran Teatro 'La Fenice' which, following the great fire in 1996 which affected the whole building, was rebuilt exactly as it once looked and where it was located, and equipped with all the latest technological developments on a par with the most important international theaters. You will also glide underneath an elegantly carved stone bridge, dedicated to one of the most famous sopranos in the world, Maria Callas. It was in fact at ‘La Fenice’ theater that the singer made her first Venetian debut thanks to her starring role in Bellini's ‘The Puritans’, the springboard for a brilliant and lasting career!

These are just some of the wonderful places you will see during your morning Venice Grand Canal gondola ride!

Now all you have to do is let yourself be fascinated by the magic of Venice, a city of art, love and music, seen and experienced from its best perspective, directly from the water.

Book a private gondola ride in Venice online departing in the morning and lasting 30 minutes and don't miss the opportunity to have a gondola all to yourself sharing it only with the people you choose - maximum 6 people - and navigate in full comfort along one of the most beautiful and fascinating itineraries through the city of water.

If, on the other hand, you want to enjoy the unmissable experience of a gondola ride in the afternoon, we recommend the ‘Private Gondola Afternoon Ride: 30-minute tour’ which departs at Stazio Gondola San Moisè, again near St Mark’s Square, and takes in a slightly different but equally evocative itinerary at the same price.
