Once the registration request has been sent, you will receive an e-mail from our staff with confirmation of the availability of the bib number required and a link to confirm the booking through online payment by credit card. After you have made the payment, you will receive an email containing a unique code reserved for you to complete the registration to the Venice Marathon directly on the official website of the organizer, by entering all personal data and any required certificates.

Once registration has been completed, the participation fee is non-refundable. Registered athletes who are unable to take part in the 2019 Venice Marathon, have two options:

  • They can transfer their registration to another person who conforms to the participation requirements, no later than October 15 2019 and only online, upon payment of a €15,00 admin fee.

  • They can postpone their participation to the next edition of the Venice Marathon which will take place on 25 October 2020. This again can be done only online, upon payment of a €15,00 admin fee.

In exceptional cases and/or reasons of force majeure that may prevent the tour already purchased to run regularly (i.e. acts of nature, strikes, exceptional closures, serious unexpected events or health problems experienced by the person in charge with the service after which it is really impossible to find a substitute), the tour might be cancelled. The customer will be notified of this as soon as possible and will be asked to choose between postponing the tour on the first date available or receiving a prompt refund of the price paid for the tour, if the cancellation policy of the service itself allows a refund.

The Venice Marathon, one of the most awaited sports events which every year attracts thousands of enthusiasts from all over the world, will take place on Sunday 27 October 2019. The Venice Marathon 10K includes the last, and most scenic, ten kilometers of the 42K. This race is suitable for those who want to put themselves to the test on a shorter route without sacrificing the adrenaline of a sports competition. The 10K provides a competitive and a recreational sports section; we invite you to read the dedicated section for further information.

 

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS TO ENTER THE VENICE MARATHON 10K

Competitive section
According to the Rules for the Organization of Events issued by FIDAL, athletes holding a membership card in Italy and over the age of 18 can take part in the Venice Marathon 10km if they meet these requirements:

  • Athletes who are FIDAL card-holders for the 2019 season.
  • Athletes in possession of a Runcard (who are above the age of 20 years) and a valid health certificate specific to competitive field athletics which will have to be sent together with a copy of the Runcard.
  • Italian Athletes registered with Sports Promotion Entities (Athletics section) in possession of a valid health certificate specific to competitive field athletics which will have to be sent together with a copy of the card.

Recreational section
The non-competitive Venicemarathon 10K is open to those above the age of 10, including aficionados of fit walking, nordic walking and families. The track can be covered at a speed that each participant thinks is adequate for their state of preparation and physical condition; for participants under the age of 18, permission from a parent or a guardian is required.

Registration to the Venice 10K marathon – recreational sports section requires that each participant declares their physical fitness at the time of the race, according to the provisions of the law, and is prepared to assume civil and criminal liability in the event of an accident of any kind.

For athletes enrolled in the recreational sports section of the Venice Marathon 10 km only the race duration will be tracked; athletes will not be able to receive prizes and will not appear in the Fidal race rankings.

€30.00 from 1 to 4,000 subscribers
€35.00 from 4,001 to 6,000 subscribers
€40.00 from 6,001 to 6,500 subscribers

*until all available entries have been taken. The event organizers reserve the right to end registrations to the Venice Marathon 10k or extend them at their discretion.

 

The registration fee includes: 

  • Venice marathon breastplate
  • Venice Marathon race pack

  • race program and information material
  • timing chip (to be handed back)
  • rankings sent via SMS or email
  • participation medal for those who complete the race
  • transport service before the race from Venice Tronchetto or Mestre to the start area
  • transportation of bagged personal garments from the start to the finish
  • transport service after the race from the finish area to Venice Tronchetto, Mestre or the start area
